Loughborough Boat Club Thanks East Midlands Airport for £2000 Grant

Loughborough Boat Club (LBC) would like to say a huge thank you to East Midlands Airport for their generous grant of £2000.

The grant has contributed towards the purchase of a new lightweight double rowing boat, which will provide a fantastic opportunity for more junior rowers to get involved in the sport and develop their skills on the water.
Having suitable, lightweight equipment is particularly important for younger athletes, helping them to build confidence and enjoy rowing in a boat that is appropriate for their age and ability. The new double will give our juniors more opportunities to train, learn, and take part in the sport.

LBC have a growing junior squad who regularly take part in regatta and head race competitions representing Loughborough. We are incredibly grateful to MAG East Midlands Airport for supporting our club and helping us make rowing more accessible to young people in our community.
