Ironbridge is one of LBC’s favourite regattas, combining a pretty location, good camping, decent chip shop and a nice little micropub right by the iron bridge itself.

Its no wonder then that LBC showed up in force with two trailers full of boats and fielding eights, quads, fours, doubles, pairs and singles across the masters, seniors and junior squad.

Particular shout out to our Op J14 1x with a convincing win across multiple heats in what was only his second ever race!

Great to see two eights racing, a (very) mixed eight and a Masters ladies crew with a special guest at bow (thanks for sitting in Zoe!).

Perhaps even more impressive was the appearance of pre-race warmup ‘camping ergs’, who knew that was a thing?

And saving the best until last, the return of the giant paella pan for the first time this season!

All in all a great weekend and a lot of fun, roll on Burton!
