Stourport is LBC’s last ‘camping regatta’ of the season and from personal memory tends to throw all extremes of weather at the rowers, despite it being August.
This year we must have (mostly) been well behaved, as only a couple of rowers got wet on the Saturday and the weather gods smiled on us for a glorious Sunday.
LBC took part in over 20 races and came back with 6 victories across juniors, seniors and masters.
Although some went home clutching medals and glassware as trophies of their conquests, Phil may well lay claim to being the real winner, as he managed to sit himself next to the beer sponsors for the event and made the most of his excellent (though otherwise undemonstrated on this particular weekend) positioning abilities.
