Further steps taken towards the Captains Mission Statement at York with two more wins!
LBC attended York Regatta in September 2009 which was a 500m sprint down the river Ouse to the Lendal Bridge. The event targeted juniors and veterans, which suited us down to the ground.
It was a great day for our youngest member Tom Scholefield who lost novice status in the J16 Sculls event, well done Tom!
We also had a win for our member from furthest a field, Ollie Kortlang, from New Zealand who teamed up with his old crew mate captain Keith Hudson to get an easy win in the Vet C&D Double Sculls event.
Andy Hill represented LBC for the first time in a Vet E Double Scull with Nick Maker, no win this time but watch this space!
