Nine courageous members of Loughborough Boat Club will take part in the gruelling Boston Marathon on Sunday 18th September.  Famously challenging, the Boston Rowing Marathon is an annual head of the river race run over a 31 mile (50.2km) course on the River Witham between Lincoln and Boston.

The LBC IM3 eight will be rowed by David McCaughan, Chris Smith, Shane Frear, Chris McAulay, Andrew Robinson, Andrew Martin, Henry Simkin and Sam Morris all coxed by Jonathan Day.

All nine crew members have set themselves a huge challenge to complete the course in less than 4 hours. More importantly they hope to raise much deserved funds for local charity LOROS.

If  you wish to help the crew meet their fundraising target, donations can be made online at http://www.justgiving.com/loughboroughboatclub or by sending a text message to 70070 saying ROWS50 £(amount).

Good Luck Guys!
