Success came on the River Trent for the junior members of Loughborough Boat Club with wins for a number of our crews at the Nottingham Regatta.

Isabelle Senior won over two heats taking the pot for the WJ13 single beating Lincoln in both the semi-final and final but narrowly missed out with rowing partner Hannah Ferris in the WJ13 double to Boston in the final having beaten Nottingham Union in the semi-final. Alex Henry won his J13 single too having beaten Nottingham Rowing Club in both of his heats. Both Alex and Isabelle won in their singles with a verdict of easily. Emily Senior took home the prize for the WJ15 single beating Nottingham in the semi-final and Newark in the final.

Despite being rather a quiet regatta, our other crews also had some fun. Becky Mills and Katie Ferris made a great attempt in their WJ16 2x sadly losing by a couple of lengths in the final and the Women’s Masters D coxed four of Vicky Haines, Emma Heygate, Kate Henry and Jen Smith, coxed by Matilda Haines bravely faced down a Nottingham crew but again sadly lost. A great effort by all though.
